As part of the cooperation that Lucy Saudi Arabia (LSA) have developed with local universities and institutes, LSA and the Inspection Technology and Quality Assurance National Institute (ITQAN) arranged a full day training programme for 20 students at the LSA facilities in Dammam.
Teams from HR, Sales, Operations and Quality were all involved in the training programme, which started by welcoming the students and teachers and introducing the company’s history, services, and products. The trainees then had a Health & Safety induction prior to a factory tour, visiting fabrication and assembly during which all the production processes were explained. The students then divided into different groups for training on some electrical tests by the LSA quality team.
The feedback was great from the students and their teachers, especially because this kind of practical training is not possible in the classroom. LSA has received a Certificate of Appreciation from ITQAN, and both parties have agreed to continue further cooperation in training and attracting talent.
