Lucy Electric Thame partners with the Rotary Club of Thame

Lucy Electric Thame is pleased to have partnered with the Rotary Club of Thame once again to take part in ‘business in the community’ volunteering.  This year Jamie Cummings and Lesley Rollason chose to take part in this great initiative.

Jamie worked at the Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) in Thame to help spruce it up. The centre helps many people in the local community by giving them advice and support on a wide range of issues such as benefits, work, debt and other financial matters. The CAB is a network of independent charities who offer free advice online, over the phone and in person.  The advice is totally independent and impartial and it helps millions of people every year. Thame’s CAB centre is located right at the heart of the town and was in need of some tender loving care. Jamie teamed up with other volunteers to do some painting and decorating in two reception rooms and an office.

Lesley volunteered at the Red Kite Family Centre Lesley volunteered at the Red Kite Family Centre which provides both parents and their children with free resources and activities to enhance both physical, mental and social development.

Lesley helped out by clearing weeds and debris from the grounds and covering the area with aggregate, and by cleaning the outside children’s play area, re-treating decking and wooden balustrading. Lesley particularly enjoyed jet washing the decking and a paved areas, and was even complimented on how good she was at it!

Both Jamie and Lesley really enjoyed their day helping out in the local community and both the CAB and the Red Kite Family Centre were extremely grateful for their help.
