Lucy Electric Wear Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness

There was a lot of pink being worn by Lucy staff in the Middle East and Brazil during October 2018 to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM). The charity set up a wear it pink at work initiative to raise awareness.  The wearing of a pink ribbon symbolises the fight against breast cancer, although many of our staff made sure awareness stayed high by wearing much more pink that just a ribbon.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month is an annual international health campaign organized by major breast cancer charities every October to increase awareness of the disease and to raise funds for research into its cause, prevention and treatment.

To support this charity, as well as wearing pink to raise funds, employees  also had the opportunity to learn about breast cancer and how it affects sufferers, their families and friends. The money raised helps make life-changing research and care happen. Breast care nurses, expertly trained staff and volunteers,  ensure that anyone diagnosed with breast cancer gets the support they need to help them deal with the  impacts of the disease.
